Privacy Policy

Tokyo Hotel Map (“we”, “the site”) helps travellers find Tokyo hotels by travel time and room size. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the site. The short version: the site currently requires no account, sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and collects no personal information beyond standard technical data needed to serve the pages.

Data we process

• Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested pages) to deliver and secure the service. See Vercel's privacy policy.
• Map tiles. The map loads tiles directly from the OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers, so your browser sends your IP address and the map area you view to them. See the OSMF privacy policy.
• Search filters. Your destination, time, size, and price selections are processed in your browser only. They are not sent to or stored on our servers.

Cookies

The site currently sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. Before we introduce advertising (e.g., Google AdSense) or analytics, we will add a consent banner giving you an accept/reject choice, and update this policy accordingly.

Affiliate links

When hotel booking goes live, links to partner booking sites (such as Booking.com or Expedia) will include an identifier so the partner knows the visit came from us. What a partner site collects once you are there is governed by that partner's own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we don't maintain user accounts or databases of visitor data, most requests will concern our processors listed above — but you can always contact us and we will help.
