Tokyo Hotel Map is free to use. To fund the site, we earn affiliate commissions: when you click through to a booking partner (currently Rakuten Travel; possibly others such as Booking.com later) and complete a reservation, the partner pays us a commission.
What this means for you
- You never pay extra. Prices are the partner's own prices; the commission comes out of their margin, not your pocket.
- Bookings happen on the partner's site. We never take payment or store payment details.
- Rankings are not for sale. Search results are ordered by your filters — travel time, price, rating — not by who pays us more. If we ever introduce sponsored placement, it will be clearly labelled.
Current status
Links to hotel pages on Rakuten Travel are affiliate links — if you book after clicking one, Rakuten pays us a commission at no cost to you. On the English site, booking links open Rakuten Travel’s international site (travel.rakuten.com) through the Rakuten Advertising network on the same terms; the price shown on our card comes from Rakuten Travel Japan, so always check the final rate and currency on the booking page. Additional partners (such as Booking.com) will be added here if their programs are approved. Hotel data (names, locations, lowest prices, and guest ratings) is sourced from the Rakuten Travel API and refreshed in batches. Default prices are indicative, not live availability — but if you set check-in/check-out dates, prices and availability for those dates are fetched live from Rakuten Travel (multi-night totals are estimated from the first night and marked “est.”). Always confirm the final rate on the booking site. Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap; map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Transit timetable data
Travel times shown on this site are precomputed estimates derived from timetable and station data provided by the Public Transportation Open Data Center (公共交通オープンデータセンター). Toei Transportation data is used under CC BY 4.0 (credit: 東京都交通局・公共交通オープンデータ協議会); JR East data is provided through the ODPT Challenge 2026 program. The accuracy and completeness of the source data — and of our derived travel times — are not guaranteed: timetables change, and live delays are not reflected. Please direct questions about this site to yamakengames@gmail.com, not to the transit operators, who are not involved in this site.
Advertising and analytics
We may show display ads (e.g., Google AdSense) in the future, kept away from the map and search experience; ads will be introduced only together with a certified consent-management banner. The site currently uses Google Analytics only for visitors who opt in via the consent banner — see the privacy policy for details and how to change your choice.
